Why stainless steel gas springs?

If your assembly is constantly exposed to damp, wind and weather - you should use gas springs made of a rust-proof material. Our stainless steel gas springs are made from 304 stainless steel, but can also be available on request in acid-proof 316 stainless steel.

316 stainless steel is a good rust-proof grade that can be used in the maritime industry, among other things. It is non-magnetic, which is a further advantage. It should be noted, however, that there are magnetic components inside these stainless steel gas springs, so this can cause problems in hospitals, etc. where there are MR scanners and similar equipment.
